A smooth digital quotation and sales process is the basis for a successful customer journey during initial contact, product configuration and cross-selling process. CAS Merlin CPQ and intelligent assistants, known as Augmented Intelligence Assistants (AIA®), provide support at every stage.

How creating a quotation works with CAS Merlin CPQ and intelligent assistants

With the help of the online configurator, the end customer gets to know the product world and makes the selection for their optimal solution, specifying their requirements for the product and their desired variant.

The request is sent to the sales department which adds technical details in consultation with the customer and optimizes the desired configuration. The sales department is supported by AIA® which draws on experience from previous configuration solutions.

The next step involves a personal meeting with the end customer to prioritize their core requirements such as price, delivery time or sustainability.

The end customer receives a digital offer that they can actively help to shape with their comments. After successful configuration, the data is provided by the CPQ + AIA® software for further processing. All internal and external stakeholders are involved in the end-to-end digital process.
